Yes, greek mythology is fantastic. But I think I could refer like that not only greek, but also egyptian, sumerian, iranian, hindu, japanese, hebrew, slavic and other mythologies. There's something in this tales what makes them, especially now (I don't know why), interesting for the people. And the most "popular" mythologies in Europe are hebrew and greek (+"national": slavic, german etc.) because they are really connected with our lives.

Lately i'm obsessed with greek mythology, I am amazed to see how it is incorporated in our lives;
- many idiomatic expressions (Achilles heel...), in psychology (Oedipus myth), influence on western art and so on
My primary source is Gustav Schwab's Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece. It is easy to read, familiar and you can learn a lot
